It's been a while since I've sat down and written something like a blurb, but Life & Style is giving me the awesome opportunity to do it — so here goes nothing!
When my fitness and health journey started, I was determined to get myself healthy and to a place where I just felt better physically and mentally.
THAT was the motivation. THAT was the goal.
When I looked in the mirror after a few months and saw a change on my 5-foot-10 body, that was just an added bonus! It wasn't about the number of LBS on a scale, it wasn't about counting calories...it's always been about how I've felt. I LOVE to sweat, to FEEL THE BURN and I was very inspired to be more active, but the My Fitness Pal app was fun to use. I was already doing everything from aquafit to Sensazão Dance Fitness to hiking to being on a treadmill before I discovered that app.
Jason has also been a huge encouragement to me. On days when I just don't want to go to the gym or when I'm having a girly moment and don't feel cute, he's been there to get my butt up or to say something sweet. He's definitely a fitness junkie and I wouldn't have it any other way!
It will be four years this December that the 'health switch' has been flipped to 'ON' and I have never felt better! Listening to my body is the best thing I've ever done! And right now, it's telling me to cut back on meat. At the most, I did lose 50 lbs and my body is at a comfortable place. It goes anywhere between 155-161 and I am totally okay with that! Did you see that bikini?? Ha! It didn't happen over night. I had days that were better than others, sure, but I am so proud when I look back and see how far I've come!
