Looks like Justin Bieber wasn't singing "If I was your boyfriend, I'd never let you go" to Selena Gomez.

According to reports, the adorable couple have parted ways. What's said to be the cause of the break up? The pair allegedly found it hard to make their relationship work with their intense schedules.

Just a couple weeks ago, they seemed to be on good terms considering the 18-year-old “As Long As You Love Me” crooner opened up about Selena to Oprah Winfrey.

“I never make her separate from me, because I don't want her to feel like I'm ashamed of her," Justin says about his now ex-girlfriend in the interview, which airs on Nov. 25 on OWN.“A lot of guys do that — especially in the business. They don't want to be seen with their girl, so they'll make them ride in separate cars. If we get away, we're getting away together"

But this past week, there was speculation the two entered splitsville. One day after performing at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Nov. 7, Justin was spotted seeing The Lion King on Broadway with a group of people, including 19-year-old Victoria’s Secret model, Barbara Palvin.

The same night Justin performed at the sexy fashion show, Selena shared a photo with her Wizards of Waverly Place on-screen love interest, Gregg Sulkin. “Shooting at 2 am and this is where me and Gregg end up…” she captioned the Twitpic. The pair are currently filming a reunion movie.

Selena, 20, and Justin began dating in late 2010. Though they denied their relationship at first, they later went public with their romance in February 2011 when they attended the Vanity Fair Oscar party together.

After the pair stepped out, many of Justin's fans had it out for the songstress. In March 2011, the brunette beauty opened up to radio station Z100 about it.

"It's hard. It hurts, it really does. I don't feel like I'm doing anything wrong," she said about the hate she received from his fans, adding, "I've been best friends with him for a very long time. It does hurt my feelings a lot but I try not to focus on it. I have a strong family and great fans."

Well, Beliebers, it seems you can finally breathe a sigh of relief!
