Justin Bieber and Hailee Steinfeld Squash Dating Rumors — Assure Fans They’re Just Friends!

Them’s the breaks — Justin Bieber and Hailee Steinfeld want to be clear about one thing: they’re not dating.

TMZ reported on May 2 that the “Despacito” singer and the Pitch Perfect 2 actress were in a new relationship. However, almost as soon as those rumors began… they ended. Hailee’s rep told E! News — hours later — that there is “no truth whatsoever” to the claims and that the stars are strictly friends.

Hailee is allegedly dating Cameron Stoller while Justin is enjoying the single life — so what started the dating rumors?

The two celebs have known each other for years, and share many mutual friends. Justin’s ex Selena Gomez is best friends with Taylor Swift who is also a close friend of Hailee’s. Plus, last month Justin was spotted Facetiming the actress in his car and this week the two friends were spotted together after Hailee left the 2017 Met Gala.

Of course, a conversation here, and a hangout there isn’t enough to prove their relationship is anything more than friendship. Especially since the Oscar nominee has been active on social media with her boyfriend, Cameron.
