Justin Timberlake is no stranger to the Saturday Night Live stage — but how did his March 9 hosting and performing fare in ratings?
Preliminary figures predict that the episode will be the largest haul for the NBC series in over a year, since Charles Barkley hosted in January 2012.
To get right to the point, the “Suit & Tie” singer is serious ratings gold for NBC.

But what were the best parts? We’re counting down our top 5 below!
5: "Mirrors"It was JT’s second performance of the night, but we can’t get enough of his new tune Mirrors. Those moves…that voice…just everything. It made ladies around the country even more jealous of Jessica Biel, who gets to call this swoon-worthy star her hubby.
4: Romantic Comedy (NSFW) Justin put his acting skills to work in SNL’s parody trailer — and it was the perfect way to make fun of a rom-com. The premise, Kenan Thompson as his BFF — just a couple of the hilarious parts in this clip.3: "Suit & Tie" Featuring Jay-Z Sure, it was Justin’s big night, but that didn’t stop him from asking Jay-Z to join him on their hit song for his first performance. And that’s not the only reason why this lands in our third spot. Justin appeared to subtly respond to Kanye West’s recent rant (when he said he wasn’t a fan of the song) by changing the lyrics. Instead of singing “S—t so sick got a hit and picked up a habit” he sang “My hit’s so sick got rappers acting dramatic.” BURN!2: It’s a DateJustin and former SNL star Andy Samberg reprised their roles of two early 1990s R&B ballad singers (ah hem, the infamous “Box” duo). In the game show sketch, the pair go head-to-head with alums Dan Aykroyd and Steve Martin, who revived their famous SNL characters, Two Wild & Crazy Guys. And, well, it’s pure hilarity.1: Five Timers Monologue Justin. Steve Martin. Tom Hanks. Alec Baldwin. Paul Simon. Dan Aykroyd. Chevy Chase. Martin Short. Candice Bergen. Together. Need we say more?
