Kanye West is ditching his longtime endorsement with Nike in order to sign with their rival, Adidas. But the rapper gives one surprising reason for the switch in his shoe allegiance: North West!
The rapper, 36, says that his priorities have changed since becoming a dad to Nori, his five-month-old daughter with fiancee Kim Kardashian. "The old me, without a daughter, would have taken the Nike deal because I just love Nikes so much. But the new me, with a daughter, takes the Adidas deal because I have royalties and I have to provide for my family," Kanye revealed in an interview on Angie Martinez's radio show.

Reportedly, Kanye was upset that he didn't get royalties for the two pairs of Air Yeezy trainers he designed for Nike. Supposedly, the brand only gives a share of the profits of branded sneakers to athletes, which meant that Kanye didn't qualify for the financial incentive. He says that the Adidas deal will net him more cash.
"I'm going to be bigger than Walmart," Kanye added. The Chicago-born star already designed his own collection and has been working with Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci, who designed the poorly-received floral dress that a then-pregnant Kim wore to the Met Gala.
