Even with a neck injury, don’t count Karina Smirnoff out of this season's Dancing With the Stars competition.
The pro dancer was hospitalized on Sunday after trying to execute a flip during practice. Despite the injury, Karina has since tweeted that she and her celebrity partner, Baltimore Ravens receiver Jacoby Jones, will dance tonight.

According to reports, the 35-year-old beauty allegedly fell on Jacoby during their Lindy hop routine. She twisted her neck and smashed her face. Karina was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center for possible whiplash and a dislocated jaw.
She’s not the only pro who’s sustained an injury this season. In April, Mark Ballas, who’s partnered with Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, revealed he suffered a lower back injury while trying a lift.
Last season, star Melissa Rycroft was rehearsing a group routine that sent her to the hospital. She also sustained a neck injury and was diagnosed with a herniated disc — but she'd go on to win the all-stars season.
And in 2011, dancer Kym Johnson faced a very scary injury. At the time, she was practicing with her partner, Pittsburgh Steelers player Hines Ward, when she fell on her neck and was taken the hospital shortly after. Kym is currently still competing this season with Soap star Ingo Rademacher.
Luckily for Karina, she and Jacoby will perform tonight in hopes of making it to next week’s final four. Aly, Ingo, Zendaya and Kellie Pickler are also vying for a spot.
