The ring might be off, but Kate Hudson isn't giving up on her relationship with fiance Matt Bellamy just yet.
An insider tells Life & Style the pair are attending regular therapy sessions to get through a rough patch.
"They've been going to couples counseling to try to make it work," the source says about Kate, 34.
"They've been fighting for almost a year."
There were signs something was wrong when the actress turned up to the Vanity Fair Oscar party March 2 without her 9-carat engagement ring. Kate wore another bauble instead of her stunner from Matt.
It turns out distance played a major factor for Kate and Matt, 35, who is often on tour with his band Muse.
"She can't handle how much he travels and is away from the family," the insider says. "They love each other but know they've grown apart."

Just last year, Kate even admitted to Extra the couple were too busy to plan their nuptials.
"I look forward to it," the Reluctant Fundamentalist actress said. "We'll both figure it out. We've been both very busy, but it will happen."
The duo, who are parents to 2-year-old son Bingham, got engaged in April 2011 -- one year after they began dating.
Kate is also mom to son Ryder, 10, her son with ex-husband Chris Robinson.
