Prince William and Kate Middleton are recreating history.
During their whirlwind tour of India and Bhutan, the couple paid a visit to the Taj Mahal, where they posed in front of the long reflecting pool, on the bench that's come to be known as Lady Di's Chair, named after Princess Diana.

Princess Diana famously posed alone on the same seat, and in the same location, in 1992, just months before her divorce from Prince Charles would be announced.
But the happy couple, who has been traveling without children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, was eager to recreate the classic photo.

When Prince William and Kate Middleton took a few photographs in front of the Uluru — formerly known as Ayers Rock — in the Australian Outback during their current Royal Tour, many people were instantly reminded of when Charles and Diana — then the Prince and Princess of Wales — had posed there 31 years ago. (Looks like the camera man must have used some sort of cool filter on the Kate and Wills pic!)
