We may have only caught a glimpse of Kate Middleton as she arrived at Buckingham Palace in the back of a car, but the object sparkling atop the 33-year-old's head could not be missed!
The brunette beauty wore the Lover's Knot Tiara to a Diplomatic Reception on Dec. 8, which was made famous by the late Princess Diana, who wore it on several occasions. It had been a wedding gift from the Queen in 1981, and this is the first time it's reemerged since Diana's death in 1997.

Crafted in 1913 at the request of Queen Mary, the dazzling accessory features 38 oriental drop-shaped pearls and consists of 19 openwork diamond frames.
This is only the fourth time Kate has worn a tiara since she became part of the royal family in 2011. The first time she donned one was at her wedding to Prince William in April of that year.
