As the world waits for a glimpse of the Royal Baby, Kate Middleton's parents got their first look today!
Around 3 p.m. BST, Michael and Carole Middleton were spotted arriving to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, where Kate gave birth yesterday to her son with Prince William.

"Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild," Charles said in a statement following his grandson's birth. "It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy."
Great Grandma Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip released a statement on Twitter, stating they were "delighted by the news of the birth."So is Carole and Michael's visit a break in royal tradition?

"Kate’s parents visiting the hospital is only a break in tradition in so much that they are not from aristocracy and considered ‘commoners,'" royal expert James McCourt tells Life & Style. "However, the Royal family has made it quite clear that they fully accept and support Kate and her family has been invited to numerous official engagements by the Queen."
It's not clear whether Kate's sister Pippa Middleton and brother James Middleton will also be making appearances today. As reported, Pippa and William's brother, Prince Harry, are reportedly going to be the baby's godparents, which is fitting since they were maid of honor and best man at the royal wedding.

Royal watchers have the current favorite name as George, while Philip, James, and William are also reported to be in the mix.
"He's absolutely beautiful," Carole happily told a crowd of well-wishers outside the hospital as they departed around 4:15 BST time."[Will and Kate] are doing really well."
