Katherine Heigl is a mom — again!
The 38-year-old actress and her husband, singer Josh Kelley, welcomed their third baby, a son named Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr., on Tuesday, Dec. 20, a rep confirmed to People on Monday, Jan. 16.
The former Grey's Anatomy star and Josh, 36 — who tied the knot in December 2007 — are already parents to two older daughters, Naleigh, 8, and Adalaide, 4. The couple adopted Naleigh from South Korea in September 2009 and Adalaide from the US in April 2012.
A source close to Katherine revealed her pregnancy to In Touch Weekly back in June 2016. "She and Josh have been putting off having a baby for career reasons for years, but they felt like the timing was finally right," the insider said. Just one day later, the star shared the first sonogram photo of her baby boy with her fans on Instagram.
Last summer, Josh gushed about having a baby boy — and his first biological child — with his wife. "We’re super excited. We have tons of girls in the house. Even most of our dogs are girls. So I need a little bit of extra testosterone in there!" he told In Touch.
Katherine also updated fans on her growing family via her blog, ThoseHeavenlyDays.com. "It was totally unexpected but thrilling," she wrote after revealing her pregnancy news. "The whole pregnancy thing is new to me but the thrill of having a baby is not."
"Naleigh and Adalaide are over the moon and [cannot] wait to spoil their new sibling rotten. [We are all] full of high hopes and bubbling anticipation," the actress continued.
Katherine additionally opened up about her and Josh's decision to expand their family after adopting two children. "We were considering adoption again, fostering, or pregnancy if possible. Seeing as I have never been pregnant and as my OB/GYN reminded me last year, I’m of advanced maternal age, I wasn’t sure pregnancy was even in the cards for us. Turns out it was very much in the cards!" she wrote.
Congrats to the Kelley family on their new addition — we can't wait to see the first photos of Baby Joshua!
