Gisele Bundchen Hates That Kendall Jenner Is the Highest Paid Model (REPORT)
After years in the industry, Kendall Jenner is still having a hard time earning the respect of her fellow models. The 22-year-old was recently named the highest paid model — and that title added more fuel to the fire.
“All the other models think she’s trash,” a source told Radar Online. “Sure, she’s technically beautiful but she only gets those high-paying gigs because of her cheap reality TV fame.” This year, Kendall took the top crown from supermodel Gisele Bundchen, earning $22 million thanks to paychecks from Estée Lauder, Adidas, and La Perla. However, Gisele, along with Victoria’s Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio, are not impressed.
“They always predicted that Kendall was nothing but a fad,” the insider added. “The news that her paycheck tops them all was a very bitter pill to swallow for a lot of models.” This is not the first time the beauty has been bullied. During NYFW in 2014, fellow runway divas took their resentment out on her backstage.
“The other models worked so hard to get a spot on the runway and didn’t think it was fair that she was there,” a source told In Touch. “They started acting bitchy. Some even put out their cigarettes in Kendall’s drink!” The E! star, on the other hand, has always defended her career — and denied claims she was successful just because of her famous family.
“I want to be high fashion. I want to be taken seriously,” she told LOVE magazine. “People think that this [success] just came to me. But it didn’t. What I have has almost worked against me.” She continued, “People didn’t take me seriously as a model… I went on castings and some people weren’t feeling me because of my name. But it was great when people didn’t recognize me. I was like, ‘Thank you. Please don’t recognize me.'”
