Don’t expect Khloé Kardashian‘s birth to be filmed for her reality show! Despite momager Kris Jenner‘s pleas, the mom-to-be along with her boyfriend Tristan Thompson are banning cameras from the hospital room.

Sources are revealing exclusively to Life & Style that the couple, who are expecting their first child together, hopes to keep the birth, which is expected to take place in February, private. “Khloé and Tristan made a decision not to have the birth of their child filmed for Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” an insider says. “Kris is having a meltdown because it would be great television. Fans have been in on Khloé’s journey to have a baby for years!”

Her decision not to film the birth is the complete opposite of older sister Kourtney Kardashian, who had cameras rolling when she welcomed her first child Mason in 2009 and Penelope in 2012. (Are we the only ones that still vividly remember Kourt pulling Mason out herself?!) However, it seems watching that episode of the reality series is what convinced Tristan, 26, to keep producers out.

“He’s a very private person,” notes the source. “He watched old episodes and
was horrified when he saw Kourtney giving birth to Mason. He’s more convinced than ever to not have the birth filmed.” And Khloé, 33, is putting her foot down.

“Having a baby is the best thing that has ever happened to Khloé,” the insider adds, “and the idea of having a media circus surrounding her as she gives birth is her idea of hell.” Along with keeping fans out of the delivery room, the brunette beauty has also been unusually private about her pregnancy and has yet to confirm the exciting news. Sources are reporting that Khloé is expecting a baby boy. We’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed that she changes her mind — and lets us watch!
