She was hoping for a little Christmas miracle! As she counted down the final days of her surrogate’s pregnancy, Kim Kardashian was rooting hard for Santa and the stork to arrive with baby No. 3 around the same time.

“Christmas is Kim’s favorite holiday,” a Kardashian insider tells Life & Style. “She couldn’t imagine anything better than having a baby born during the Christmas season.” To Kim, “Christmas means family,” says an insider.

Kim, 37, wasn’t the only one in the family feeling that way. Daughter North, 4, “was so excited for her baby sister to come around Christmas,” the insider says. “Kim let North open baby shower gifts and be part of the whole process.”

Kim and hubby Kanye West, 40, had a name picked out in advance, and friends suspected it might be something with religious overtones, like two-year-old son Saint’s name. “Some of them were even joking it could be ‘Kristmas,’” the insider adds. “Kim’s mom, Kris, loved that idea!”

But it looks like Kim will have to wait a little longer for her new bundle of joy to arrive. Her surrogate isn’t due until January 2018, and now that it’s only a few weeks away, she’s definitely ready for the arrival of her baby — which will be a girl! Kim accidentally revealed the gender while talking about during an interview with Ellen DeGeneres last month.

The mom-of-two has been open about the reason why she chose to use a surrogate to carry her third child — due to complications during labor for her two previous pregnancies, it just wasn’t medically safe for Kim to carry another child naturally — and even though she is extremely grateful that her surrogate is doing something so selfless, sources previously revealed to Life & Style that Kim isn’t happy with her surrogate’s choice in birthing plans. Kim really wanted her third child to be born in LA, but her surrogate wants to give birth in San Diego.

“Kim is disappointed,” says an insider, because she wanted the birth to take place at LA’s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where kids North, 4, and Saint, 23 months, were born. “Cedars is known for spa-like birthing suites that even come with a private chef.”
