Talk about hypocritical! Kim Kardashian reportedly banned fans from taking selfies at a recent signing for her new book 'Selfish'...which is literally 400 pages worth of snapshots of the reality star.
So even though people were camped out in front of an NYC Barnes & Noble for hours in the hopes of sharing a pic with the 34-year-old, all they got was a lousy autograph.

According to a 'Yahoo' report, the restriction was put in place to keep the long line moving, but if you're going to expect people to buy a book littered with ONLY selfies, they should have the option of taking one, right?! After all, it takes five seconds.

Kim herself proved on Monday night that she's awful at following the rules, ignoring the selfies ban at the Met Gala, which was spearheaded by 'Vogue' editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
The mother-of-one defended her decision to snap a few photos, telling 'Extra,' "Everyone started to take pictures, but I didn’t even bring my phone in so I got photos from Kanye’s phone, because he was just taking pictures."

She added, "I took a photo with Kanye, Diplo and Madonna and I was like, 'You guys, there’s no selfies.' They were like, 'Oh come on. We can take a picture'. I was like, no, I swear I don’t want to get in trouble."
Way to resist the urge, Kimmy!
