Rupert Sanders Admits Affair With Kristen Stewart Was a Mistake!
Throwback Thursday came early! Kristen Stewart’s 2012 affair with Rupert Sanders is making headlines again— and this time it’s because of what the director just revealed about the scandalous tryst.
Nearly five years ago, a then 21-year-old Kristen was caught kissing her Snow White and the Huntsman director while he was married to model Liberty Ross and she was dating her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson.

At the time, both stars publicly apologized for hurting their loved ones, with Kristen sending a heartfelt plea to her boyfriend.
“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob,” the actress said in a statement. “I love him. I love him. I’m so sorry.”
Today, Rupert, 46, is calling the incident a “momentary lapse.”
“You never know what’s coming in life. Around every corner, there’s something unexpected, and that’s life. You just have to brush yourself off and continue moving forward the best you can. Everyone makes mistakes. I am bound to make more mistakes, and I wouldn’t expect my life to be exciting if I didn’t,” he told the U.K.’s Metro. “If you took people off the table for a momentary lapse,” he said, “there would be no one making art.”

Likewise, Kristen, who is rumored to be dating model Stella Maxwell, also opened up about the scandal earlier this year when old tweets of Donald Trump attacking the former child star for cheating surfaced.
“He was mad at me a couple of years ago — really obsessed with me a couple of years ago — which is f–king crazy,” she told Variety. “What? I literally cannot understand it.”

She continued, “At that point, he was just [a] reality star like I had no reference. That was a couple of years ago but, ‘Hey buddy, what’s up?’ He’s probably gonna tweet about this.”
Meanwhile, Rob, who is now engaged to British pop star FKA twigs, admitted to moving on years ago.

“S–t happens, you know?” he told Esquire in 2014. “It’s just young people…It’s normal! And honestly, who gives a s–t?”
