Kylie Jenner Avoids Lawsuit Over Makeup Artwork Thanks to Instagram!

Kylie Jenner just dodged a major lawsuit — by posting a photo (or two) on Instagram!

The 19-year-old lip kit creator was accused by fellow makeup artist Vlada Haggerty of copying her artwork to promote her brand, and was threatened to be sued for copyright infringement.

Vlada's lawyer told TMZ in November that Kylie Cosmetics has a "history of taking Haggerty's original dripping lip art and passing it off as Kylie's."

However, Kylie was able to avoid a legal battle by showing some love for the Ukrainian makeup artist on her social media platform.

"Check out this inspiring photograph from @juliakuzmenko and @vladamua," she captioned the photo that sparked the controversy, while simultaneously admitting to be inspired by the artwork.

She also uploaded another image of lips with dripping metallic lipstick, which are very similar to her lip kit logo, writing to her over 80 million followers, "This really is everything. Check out the wonderful makeup art of @vladamua!"

Vlada also addressed the issue on her Instagram page, revealing that the two sides had come to an agreement.

"I wanted to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart for all the support you've given @juliakuzmenko and I through all of this," she wrote. "I'm so glad I can finally say that this issue has been resolved and I can move on. Thank you again everyone, your love and supportive comments mean the world to me #createorcredit."

This is not the first time Kylie has been accused of copying a makeup artist.

Last July, beauty vlogger Shannon Harris seemingly called out the KUWTK star for copying her bronze palette, sharing a side-by-side photo of the cosmetics.

However, she quickly revealed she did not mean to imply that she was copied.

“Let's be honest I'm gonna buy the Kylie eyeshadows,” she tweeted. “Sorry to anyone who was genuinely hurt by my earlier tweet!!! Was never my intention of course, it was intended as a joke . I never once said ‘Kylie copied me’ I made a joke bc they look similar lol come on! yes, like lots of palettes do! No beef here guys.”
