Talk about friendly exes. Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney are reportedly still close despite calling off their engagement last year. The former lovers are in constant communication — but fans shouldn’t get their hopes up for a reconciliation.

Apparently, Gaga (real name: Stefani Germanotta) and the Chicago Fire star are just good friends. “Gaga and Taylor are still very close, but they are only friends,” an insider told Us Weekly. “Gaga and Taylor talk or text every single day and meet up when they’re in the same city, but nothing romantic is happening between them.”

Taylor was even spotted enjoying the Joanne World Tour at Wrigley Field in Chicago last week. However, their friendship doesn’t seem to bother Gaga’s new boyfriend Christian Carino. Recently, Life & Style reported that he was ready to pop the question to the “Cure” singer.

“All that’s left now is for Christian to get a ring — a huge one if he’s smart — and propose,” the source said before adding that the couple was already planning their wedding. “Gaga wants to be out in nature and near the water when she says ‘I do’… [Christian] couldn’t agree more.”

This will be the second engagement for Gaga — who dated Taylor from 2011 to 2016. In a recent interview, the blonde beauty confessed she has nothing but love for her ex. “It’s just about life changes, and we all go through different stages and we’re focused on different things,” she told Howard Stern. “To be fair, I think that Taylor’s pretty f–king cool that over the years no matter what creative transformation that I’ve gone through, he’s always been very supportive of that and loving.”

As for Taylor, he says his dating life is non-existent, except for on the small screen. “I live vicariously through my character,” he told Entertainment Weekly.
