<p><span></span><strong>LaLa Vazquez</strong> and <strong>Carmelo Anthony</strong>'s wedding may have taken a minute to say I do--but the cake took a week to make! <em>Life & Style</em> can exclusively reveal all the details of the cake at the special occasion!</p>
"We used the special monogram created for the couple, interwoven double L's and a C," Ron Ben-Israel tells Life & Style. His company, Ron Ben-Israel Cakes in NYC, baked the cake. It was the same monogram the couple used on their save-the-date cards and wedding invitation.
"The monogram was painted gold, and we added textured elements around each tier for depth," says Ben-Israel. "We even included a delicate impression of a basketball motif."
"Carmelo's favorite color is red," Ron tells Life & Style. So that's why the couple chose to serve red velvet cake as well as use red fondant icing.
Plus, Ben-Israel employed a staff of eight to craft the 100 plus sugary flower ornamented red velvet cake, which fed such celebrity guests such as Kim Kardashian, LeBron James, Justin Timberlake, Khloe Kardashian and husband Lamar Odom.
