Just days after his family said he may never be the same again, Lamar Odom is facing criminal drug charges after he was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel last month.
During an initial police investigation, officers collected a blood sample from the 36-year-old for testing, and the Nye County Sheriff's department is now requesting that the district attorney treat the former NBA player's case as a criminal matter.

"The Nye County Sheriff's Office has now asked the Nye County District Attorney's Office to review a request for prosecution against Lamar Odom for Use of, or Under the Influence of, a Controlled Substance," Nye County District Attorney Angela A. Bello told People magazine in a statement.
"The D.A.'s office will take the time needed to appropriately review that request, along with all evidence that might support that request, in order to reach a just conclusion regarding whether to advance charges," she added.

Lamar was rushed to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas on Oct. 13 when he was discovered unresponsive. In a released 911 tape, a man can be heard saying that the father-of-two had used cocaine. He's currently receiving treatment at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA.
