Most Bachelor fans were shocked Arie Luyendyk Jr. proposed to and then dumped Becca Kufrin at the end of this latest season — and then dismayed runner-up Lauren Burnham took him back so soon afterward. But Lauren's former high school classmates might not have been so surprised — if they happened to recall her (very odd) choice of senior quote.

A reddit user found her senior yearbook photo, which she paired with an Oscar Wilde quote from the play Lady Windermere's Fan: "I can resist anything except temptation."

It's a witty, paradoxical quote from the Irish playwright, but it also explains a lot about Lauren. Of course she resumed her relationship with Arie after he brutally ripped Becca's heart out. Of course she accepted his proposal during the After the Final Rose special when Becca hadn't even left the studio. She just can't resist temptation, y'all!

Anyway, the reddit user theorized Lauren attended Central Kitsap High School in Silverdale, WA, about an hour and a half west of Seattle — pretty far from Virginia Beach, which is where she took Arie to meet her parents during her Hometown Date — because of a parent's involvement with the military. "I'm going to guess her dad was in the Navy and was stationed out here for a period of time," the redditor said. "We have a huge Navy presence here."

This redditor graduated from Central Kitsap H.S. in 2015, five years after Lauren did, but his or her little sister is currently a student there, so this redditor bribed her to find the old yearbook in the library and snap a pic. ("Best $10 I've ever spent," he or she wrote.)

LAUREN B GRADUATED FROM MY HIGH SCHOOL AND HER SENIOR QUOTE IS FORESHADOWING AT ITS FINEST HAHAHAHAHAHAHA from r/thebachelor

Beyond how eerily prescient the quote is, it's also a strange choice for a senior yearbook, as many reddit commenters observed. "That's what you want to be remembered by?" asked one. "That you can't resist temptation?"

And these commenters got plenty shady. "At least that quote has 6 more words than she ever spoke to Arie," said another viewer. Another came armed with jokes, quipping, "I was expecting it to be, 'Wow.'" Or how about this diss: "I've got $5 that says she doesn't even know who Oscar Wilde is and just used that quote because it sounds deep/clever."

Alternatively, maybe Lauren is just incredibly self-aware!
