Nicole Remini, sister of King of Queens star Leah Remini, is working with the World Ventures Foundation and the Long Beach Boys and Girls Club to develop a state-of-the-art basketball court in inner city LA.

Nicole’s Dream Court would serve underprivileged youths in an area where 83 percent of children live below the poverty line. Her famous sister caught wind of Nicole’s passion project and jumped in to help!

Nicole tells Life & Style, “We haven’t met our goals yet but with Leah’s help, and a recent donation from Chelsea Handler we are a step closer. My goal: to have this done before the school year begins.”

When completed, the court will be dedicated to KeShawn Brooks, a 15-year-old boy who was violently murdered in the area this past March.

“It would be a court that would bring the community together and give the children a safe place out of the way of gang members to play and just be kids,” Nicole shares.

She initiated a fundraiser and has campaigned for donations, revealing that she hopes to have the court completed by the time school starts in September. But even with celebs like Chelsea and Leah on her team, they still have a long way to go before reaching their $65,000 goal.
