As anyone who's been through a breakup knows, one of the most awkward parts can be dealing with your ex's BFFs.
But while their own relationship is far from simple, David Arquette and Courteney Cox seem to have handled that part of their separation seamlessly.
In fact, David, who is currently competing on Dancing With the Stars, told Life & Style on Oct. 20 that he even keeps up with Courteney's longtime best friend, Jennifer Aniston, by text.
"We text and stay in communication," David told Life & Style about Jen during the Mercedes-Benz Ultimate Trunk Show in Beverly Hills.
It seems that both Courteney and David also have a policy of keeping up good relations with their friends' exes. David has said in the past that he got in touch with Jen's ex-husband, Brad Pitt, to congratulate him on daughter Shiloh's birth in 2006. "We didn't actually speak, but I texted him," David said.
Courteney has stayed in contact with Brad, too. In May, the two were spotted catching up with each other at a dinner at Beso in Hollywood celebrating the birthday of their manager, Cynthia Pett-Dante.
It seems like things are going well between the former couple, who were married in 1999 and have been separated for a year.
"Courteney and [daughter] Coco are always there and they've been amazing supporters," David tells Life & Style about having his family in the Dancing With the Stars audience every week. "I always look at Coco after I dance or when I'm about to go or at the beginning of the show. Just seeing her smile on her face is really a gift."
