We find romance in the most unlikely places, and that may turn out to be true for Hollywood bombshell Jenny McCarthy and "regular Joe," Dan Balanoff.

Jenny, 39, was set up on a blind date with the 31-year-old Dan, a lawyer in Chicago, as a stunt for Rosie O'Donnell's talk show -- but Dan has revealed to Life & Style that he and Jenny have been texting each other to plan another "private" date, away from the cameras!

The wild ride started for Dan after show staffers called him to be part of a game that Jenny played during her appearance on Rosie's show on Nov. 16.

"They called and said I'd be great," Dan tells Life & Style. "I said, 'Sure, sounds like fun.' I didn't know the date would be with Jenny. The producers told me it was with a mystery celebrity."

Jenny, a former Playboy model who co-hosted a dating show, Singled Out, in the '90s, chose Dan over two other hunks. The two then spent two hours dining at Market, a restaurant and sports bar in Chicago, on Nov. 16.

"It went great. We had a lot of fun getting to know each other," Dan says about his fellow Chicago native. "We have a lot in common -- she's very down-to-earth and easy to talk to."

"We connected right off the bat," he adds. "We're from the same part of town."

"We exchanged numbers and have been texting a bit," he says. "We made plans to see each other when she comes back for Christmas. The next date will probably consist of getting drinks in a private place without the circus of the cameras."

"Jenny is kind, funny and exceptionally beautiful," he tells Life & Style. "I'd be crazy not to fall for her!"

And Dan could be just what mother-of-one Jenny -- who ended a five-year relationship with Jim Carrey in 2010 -- is in need of, too! She recently told Access Hollywood that she's looking outside of her hometown of LA for a boyfriend. "Out here, they want to borrow my makeup and concealer," she says. "I want to bring a little bit of importing into my life and look for guys outside of LA."

TUNE IN! The Rosie Show airs weeknights at 7 p.m. ET on the OWN network.
