Just weeks after New York legalized gay marriage, designer Michael Kors will finally say "I do" to his long-term partner, Lance LePere.
The two were spotted at City Hall in NYC on Aug. 3 getting their marriage license. "They were both very casually dressed," an eyewitness tells Life & Style. "He was really nice and let the girls at the office take his picture."
Michael and Lance have known each other since 1990, when Lance joined the fashion designer's company as an intern in Paris. While working together, their bond developed into something more than business. In fact, it was being abroad that solidified their relationship. "We share a certain level of taste," LePere has said, "an American point of view, and I think we like to play with Americana. Over the years and the day-to-day process of dreaming together, things just naturally fell into place."
Congratulations to the happy couple!
