Lindsay Lohan made her stage debut last night during the West End preview of the David Mamet play Speed the Plow, and things did not got super great for the Mean Girls actress.
"On the first night of previews, a work-in-progress feel is to be expected. But halfway through the second act of Speed-the-Plow, the audience was openly laughing at Lohan's struggle to grasp Mamet's sharp, trademark dialogue," wrote a critic for The Daily Beast.
The actress also reportedly relied on a book to remember her lines, and had a slight wardrobe malfunction during the play's second act.
That being said, it was the first night of previews and Lindsay's performance was still described as "charming."
Also, the actress is happy with the way her makeup is going, sharing the above backstage pic, so that's something!
Here's hoping this really is the comeback we all want it to be.
