Mariah Carey Called out for Being “Borderline Abusive” on Set — and We’re So Done With Her Diva Behavior

So, Mariah Carey's legendary diva status just reached new heights!

One day after Will Ferrell spoke out about the singer's disastrous cameo in his new movie, The House — which ended up being cut from the final project — the comedian's co-star Cedric Yarbrough added to the drama by detailing the Grammy winner's "borderline abusive" behavior on set.

In a since-deleted Facebook post, the 44-year-old writes, “Okay since Will Ferrell is talking, I’ma talk-ing. Yeah, a real funny cameo was SUPPOSED to happen in the new film #TheHouse with the superstar Mariah Carey. But it was ruined by superstar Mariah Carey… It’s rumored that she eventually showed up to set. This is true. But after waiting for her for 3-4 hours!”

He continued, “While we waited the director & team had the idea of doing a stunt that Mariah’s body double would do now & bring in Mariah to match it… When Mariah finally showed up she refused to match the stunt. ‘Darling, I would never do it that way…’ I heard her say those exact words. She then requested a large fan for her hair to be blown around and a camera that would be above her, basically a crane shot."

The mother-of-two has a long-documented problem of showing up late. When she was scheduled to appear on Andy Cohen's talk show, Watch What Happens Live, in May 2016, not only did she arrive after the program started, but she made the Bravo producer sit in the guest chair!

"I love live TV… because not only am I sitting in the wrong seat, I'm not sure why, I'm sure she'll tell me when she gets here… but Mariah Carey is not here," Andy said in the first cringe-worthy minutes while he waited for her.

After making her grand entrance, the singer revealed why she made him switch seats. "Sometimes I like this side better and sometimes I like that side better…it depends on the lighting," she explained.
