Fans all over the world were thrilled when Prince Harry announced his engagement to Meghan Markle on Nov. 27, especially Americans, given that the Suits actress hails from the great state of California! In the days since, the Internet has been flooded with memes about the duo's romance, but one in particular speaks to us on a deeper level.

The meme — which we discovered on writer Sloane Steel's Instagram, though it's unclear where it originated — compares Harry and Meghan to the kids in the beloved 2003 Christmas film Love Actually. For those in need of a refresher, Sam (played by Thomas Brodie-Sangster) is a red-headed Brit who's completely in love with his American classmate named Joanna (Olivia Olson), who, like Meghan, is half-black. When he finds out she's leaving to go back to the States, he chases her down in the airport, and is rewarded with a kiss on the cheek!

While we don't have confirmation that Harry ever ran after Meghan in an airport, you can't deny the similarities. Naturally, people on social media freaked the f–k out. "OMG & HE WAS THE PRIME MINISTERS NEPHEW!!! it is ALL coming together," one Instagram user wrote, while another added, "This is SPOT ON!"

But unlike Joanna, who famously belts out Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" in the movie's finale, Meghan cannot sing — which she emphasized in her first interview with Harry. When asked by the interviewer, "Given your acting and the profile you had, you'd already been involved in various causes… What about this new role, I mean, you're going to have a bigger platform, a bigger voice. What do you want to do with it?," Harry jokingly suggested, "Sing!" Meghan responded, "Can you imagine? No. I'm not a singer." We'd like to hear her try!
