Less than one month after her husband Donald Trump was sworn in as President of the United States, Melania Trump is struggling with her new life as First Lady.
The mother-of-one has yet to make the move to Washington D.C. and is residing in her $100 million NYC penthouse until son Barron, 10, finishes school — but sources are revealing that Melania, 46, hates the way her life has turned out.

Since the inauguration, Melania rarely leaves Trump Tower, and even has the Secret Service take and pick up her son from school, according to the insider. Making matters worse are the crowds of protestors outside her apartment.
In comparison, Michelle Obama hosted a party for White House staffers during her first week in office, along with a public open house.
Melania even skipped giving Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's wife a tour of the nation's capital as is tradition, and instead opted for a visit to Mar-a-Lago with the world leaders.

"Don’t let her smile in those photos fool you,” adds the source. “She hates this.”
Seemingly her place in the capital is Donald's oldest daughter Ivanka Trump, who was on hand as her father met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during his recent visit.
However, a source close to Melania denies these claims, saying, “she is very happy with her life and supporting her husband and family.”

"I think you can't be with the person if it's not love, if they don't satisfy you," Melania told the New York Times in 1999. "You can't hug a beautiful apartment, you can't hug an airplane, you can't talk to them."
