There's no denying that Melissa McCarthy looked incredible at the People's Choice Awards on Jan. 7, flaunting her 45-pound weight loss. But what's truly amazing is her transformation over the last 15 years!
Though "plus-size" — as society would deem her — for most of her career, the comedienne revealed that she fluctuated between a size 6 and 8 when she first started acting, but never felt satisfied.

Nowadays, she's come to love herself at every size! “I could eat healthier, I could drink less. I should be learning another language and working out more, but I’m just always saying, ‘Ah, I could get hit by a bus tomorrow,'” she previously told 'Rolling Stone.'
Though beloved as chef Sookie St. James on the hit series 'Gilmore Girls,' Melissa didn't truly have her breakout moment until 2011's 'Bridesmaids.'

Her weight first made headlines in 2013 when a film critic called her "tractor-sized," a "female hippo" and a "screeching, humongous creep."
She classily responded to the heinous remarks by saying, "I felt really bad for someone who is swimming in so much hate. I just thought, that's someone who's in a really bad spot, and I am in such a happy spot. I laugh my head off every day with my husband and my kids who are mooning me and singing me songs."

Now, the actress couldn't look more content. And whether she continues to lose the weight or not, we'll always love her just the way she is!
