Bring out your pom-poms, because you are going to want to do a little cheer for Melissa McCarthy after you hear how she stood up to one of her many critics!
While we've been busy gushing over the 'Bridesmaids' star's amazing weight loss, not everyone thinks so highly of her. In fact, the 44-year-old opened up on a recent episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show about how she came face-to-face with one of her haters recently at the Toronto Film Festival.

The critic apparently told Melissa to her face that "she is only a good actress when she looks attractive."
Ouch! But don't worry, homegirl held her own!
The Academy Award nominated actress fired back, "Would you do that to a man?"
You tell him girl, you tell him like it is!

After learning the critic had children, including a daughter, the actress probed, "If she comes home and someone said you can't have a job because you are unattractive, are you going to say, 'That's right?'"
Luckily, the comedian feels she got through to him and got her point across after he replied, "I would never want that in a million years to happen!"
We love how Melissa is not only standing up for her beliefs but for girls everywhere — we love her positive and inspirational attitude.
