We’re less than a week away from the 2017 Met Gala, and we can’t wait to see what our favorite celebrities choose to wear on the red carpet!
Over the past decade, some of the best dressed stars have taken inspiration from the evening’s theme, which changes every year. This time around, it’s Comme des Garçons, a Japanese fashion label founded by Rei Kawakubo in 1973.

"Rei Kawakubo is one of the most important and influential designers of the past 40 years," Andrew Bolton, curator of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, told Vogue. "By inviting us to rethink fashion as a site of constant creation, recreation, and hybridity, she has defined the aesthetics of our time."
Although we don’t have access to the guest list, we do know that Pharrell Williams and Katy Perry are acting as co-chairs for this year’s gala, and given the “Firework” singer’s past appearances, she’s bound to show up in something bold!

Kim Kardashian also confirmed that she’s attending in a controversial tweet. “The flu can be an amazing diet. So happy it came in time for the Met lol,” she wrote, later deleting the post after receiving backlash for promoting unhealthy weight loss.
