Miley Cyrus Wants to Star in New Movie With Liam Hemsworth

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth could be taking their off-screen relationship on-screen in 2017!

According to a new report, the two lovebirds, who met on the set of their romantic drama The Last Song in 2009, may star in another film together soon.

“[Miley] wants to do some more movies in 2017 and would love to work with Liam,” a source tells Hollywood Life. “It could be a romantic thing, a comedy, or something in which they play characters who hate each other. But she’d want to do that before getting married because she is happy with how the relationship with Liam is going.”

The couple fell in love on the set of their Nicolas Sparks coming-of-age tale in which Miley plays a troubled teen who falls in love with Liam’s popular, beach volleyball-playing jock. They dated for three years before announcing their engagement in June 2012, but split a year later in September 2013. After reconciling in late 2015, the duo became engaged again earlier this year.

In an exclusive interview with Life & Style, Miley’s younger sister Noah Cyrus revealed that the pair hasn’t made much progress on their wedding. “There’s not any planning [going on] right now,” the 16-year-old shared last month. But when Miley does get around to organizing her big day, Noah has a good idea of what kind of a bride she’ll be. “Pretty chill, I’m sure,” she stated. “Miley’s a pretty chill person.”

The same can be said of the teen’s soon-to-be brother-in-law. “I love Liam,” Noah shared. “He’s been in the family for a really long time, so he’s like a big brother to me.”

Although they’re not walking down the aisle anytime soon, Miley, 24, and Liam, 26, spent the holidays together, which the "Wrecking Ball" singer documented on Instagram. “Happy Hollydaze!” she captioned a sweet pic of the couple dressed in their Christmas gear.
