Just because Miss Alabama is competing in the 2018 Miss America pageant doesn’t mean fans should expect to see her finding love on The Bachelorette. The 21-year-old University of Alabama senior made her feelings known about the reality dating show during the interview portion of the pageant, and honestly, we were pretty shocked to hear it.

Apparently, if she ever got the opportunity to star on the ABC franchise, which is hosted by Chris Harrison — who also co-hosted tonight’s pageant — she wouldn’t be too excited about it. When asked if she would consider being the Bachelorette, she said no. “All right, Chris. Don’t be offended,” Jessica Procter said. “I don’t think I would take it. I don’t know. I love watching the show, it’s really entertaining, but it’s not always the best chances of staying with who you end up with on The Bachelor. Looking [at] what’s happened recently with Ben [Higgins] and Lauren [Bushnell], who were my people.”

This clearly wasn’t the reaction the Bachelor franchise host was expecting to hear — though he was happy that she at least watches the program! But honestly, even if she didn’t end up taking home the crown… we loved her candor during the segment. And clearly, so did the rest of the Internet.

The funniest part about her response is that she even had some fans from Bachelor nation, including former Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise contestant, Kristina Schulman, rooting for her. Kristina even predicted she would take home the crown before hearing her comment about the franchise.

Well, we hope she didn’t lose the support of Bachelor fans everywhere. If you ask us, we only like her more after her honesty on national television. After all, it takes guts to admit that the Bachelor isn’t a great way to find love… to the host of the show! We can only imagine what was going through Chris’ mind after hearing that response.
