Thor: The Dark World came out this weekend, and its stars Natalie Portman and Chris Hemsworth have been making the rounds at premieres. And Oscar winner Natalie, 32, has nothing but good things to say about her superhero costar.
When the Israel-born actress was asked why she'd take a break from art-house features to make a popcorn movie, Natalie replied, "You get to look at Chris Hemsworth in tights and a cape all day!" She makes a good point.
But it's not just about Chris' looks, of course. Later, Natalie, who plays love interest Jane Foster in the big-budget sequel, told Vanity Fair, "He can kind of sit back, doesn’t have to be the center of attention, putting on a show all the time. He’s wonderful to be around, and you can feel it on-screen."
Next up for Natalie? Once her promotional obligations for Thor are finished, she'll be directing her first feature-length film, A Tale of Love and Darkness, based on the book by bestselling Israeli author Amos Oz.
After that, she'll be moving to France! Natalie's husband Benjamin Millepied, a dancer whom she met while working on Black Swan, begins a new job as the director of the prestigious Paris Opera Ballet. The couple and their son, Aleph, 2, will head to the City of Lights early next year.
