Naya Rivera Files for Divorce from Ryan Dorsey After He Got Her Arrested for Domestic Violence

It's over for Naya Rivera and husband Ryan Dorsey (again)! The Glee actress originally filed for divorce from her husband after just two years of marriage, about one year ago, but after reconciling, she's filed again.

TMZ reports that Naya filed just two weeks after she was arrested for hitting Ryan in the head over Thanksgiving weekend while fighting over their son. She cites their separation as Nov. 24, one day before their big blowout. She claims the reason for the split is irreconcilable differences, and she's seeking joint custody of their child Josey, 2, while asking the courts to deny both of them spousal support.

Naya had just called off the divorce two months earlier in October. "She is back together with Ryan Dorsey. They want to make it work for the sake of their son," a source revealed to E! News at the time. Unfortunately it seems like they just couldn't make it work.

Naya originally filed for divorce in November 2016 and cited irreconcilable differences. According to TMZ, she asked for primary physical custody of the couple's one-year-old son Josey.

"After much consideration, we have made the decision to end our marriage," Ryan and Naya said a joint statement after announcing their split. "Our priority is and always will be our beautiful son that we share together. We will continue to be great co-parenting partners for him. We ask for respect and privacy for our family during this difficult time."

The 30-year-old famously tied the knot with Ryan, 34, in a super secret wedding ceremony in Mexico back in 2014 — just a few months after ending her engagement to rapper Big Sean.

Naya and Ryan had a whirlwind romance and even though they were together for only a short period of time before tying the knot, they still went through a lot as a couple. The Sorry Not Sorry author revealed in her memoir that she had an abortion when she first started dating the actor several years ago. "You know, I put in the book, like, verbatim what he said, and I think it was the kindest and the best thing that any man could have ever said in that situation, she wrote. "And it just made me love him that much more, so I’m thankful for that."
