Washington Wizards point guard John Wall broke down in tears after winning an intense game against the Boston Celtics on Monday night, Dec. 8. The athlete couldn't fight his emotions when speaking about his friend, 6-year-old Damiyah "Miyah" Telemaque-Nelson, who recently passed away from Burkitt’s lymphoma.
"This is an emotional game for me," he said in a post-game interview. "This is for Miyah. One of my close friends that I lost that I met last year and it's just tough to see a little kid who fights so hard for cancer and can't beat it."
In the middle of the interview, Wall became so overwhelmed with emotions that he bent over and covered his face to cry.

"I'm saddened by the news but I know that she's in a better place. Keep her family in your prayers. I'll definitely miss my buddy. Rest In Peace Miyah."
Our hearts truly break for him.
