If this isn’t a teenybopper’s dream, we don’t know what it is.
Earlier today, the New Kids on the Block announced a summer tour with opening acts 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men! We’ll admit...our knees did get a little weak upon hearing the news. For those of you who aren't familiar with these boy bands, think One Direction before there was a One Direction — they basically paved the way for Harry Styles and the gang!
The tour is appropriately called “The Package” and kicks off on May 31 in Uncasville, Conn. at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
NKOTB front man Donny Wahlberg promises fans the show is going to be even better than they expect! “We’ll have plenty of surprises. With all of those egos together in one building, there’s gonna be a lot of crazy and fun stuff going on,” Donny says. “It’s going to be an amazing tour.”
We don’t doubt it!
“We’re going to pull out a lot of surprises every night,” Donny assures.
This totally sounds like the “Right Stuff” to us. To see a full list of where they’ll be performing, click here.
In addition to NKOTB, 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men, we’ve gathered some of our other favorite ‘90s music comebacks:
Spice Girls: Posh and the gang reunited for a world tour in 2007. Since then, they haven't toured, but have continued to work together in other ways. Most recently, they created a Broadway-style musical, Viva Forever, based off of their biggest hits!
No Doubt: After lead singer Gwen Stefani embarked on a successful fashion career and released two solo albums, the blonde beauty reunited with the boys of No Doubt to create Push and Shove, which boasts the hit “Settle Down.”
Backstreet Boys: The world’s most adorable boy band took the stage with NKOTB in the NKOTBSB tour that traveled from 2011 to 2012. Now back to being just BSB, the boys have welcomed back Kevin Richardson, who had briefly declined to reunite with the group years before. We’re so glad the group is finally complete again!
Now all we really need is for Justin Timberlake to set aside some time and make an ‘N Sync reunion happen — anyone agree?
