Pumpkin Spice enthusiasts will have a major dilemma next time they go to Starbucks. The coffee company is releasing a new fall flavor — and it's going to take some of the attention away from the go-to PSL.

To kick off the first day of Fall, Starbucks is introducing the Maple Pecan Latte — and we can already see the Instagram posts complete with plaid scarfs and Ugg boots. Inspired by the autumn season, the drink will feature "a warming blend of signature espresso and steamed milk combined with notes of maple syrup and pecan, and finished with a colorful autumn topping," according to a statement released by the franchise.

“Our espresso shot is the core of our handcrafted beverages,” said Debbie Antonio, from Starbucks Beverage Research and Development team. “The flavors of maple and pecan perfectly balance the inherent sweet and nutty flavors of espresso. The result is a smooth and well-rounded handcrafted beverage that customers can personalize to truly make theirs.

As expected, Starbucks aficionados were freaking out on social media about the new flavor. "OK THIS IS NOT A DRILL BUT STARBUCKS JUST RELEASED THEIR NEW FALL DRINK!!! THE MAPLE PECAN LATTE," one coffee lover enthusiastically tweeted before another added, "Starbucks is about to release a new maple pecan latte and I will be RUINED."

Starbucks is on a roll when it comes to releasing new bold creations. This past summer, customers saw a slew of imaginative cold drinks coming from their local Starbucks barista including the brightly colored Unicorn Frappucino and Midnight Mint Mocha Frappuccino.

However, if you are a die-hard Pumpkin Spice fan, 'tis the season. Along with the latte, Starbucks recently announced it will be releasing a line of ready-to-drink pumpkin-flavored lattes and pumpkin spice-flavored ground coffees to be sold exclusively in grocery stores nationwide.
