Nick Cannon revealed on Instagram Wednesday that he had been hospitalized for what he called "a temporary pit stop."
The 34-year-old, who suffers from a lupus-type autoimmune disease, told fans, "Sometimes I can be a little too bull headed and stubborn. I gotta stop running my body to the ground."
He added, "I be wanting to grind nonstop but the engine can't run on fumes. On the low though, I really think I'm a super hero..."
The father-of-two was previously hospitalized in January 2012 after suffering kidney failure and readmitted just a few weeks later with life-threatening blood clots in his lungs.

Nick, then happily married to Mariah Carey, called his hospitalization a terrifying experience. "I feel blessed to be alive," he told People magazine at the time. "If it wasn't discovered, I don't know [what would have happened]."
We wish you a speedy recovery, Nick!
