Nick Gordon just made a bold move on Twitter.
Less than two weeks after he was ordered to pay $36 million as part of a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of former fiancée Bobbi Kristina Brown, the 26-year-old shared a throwback photo of her mother, Whitney Houston, who took him in at the age of 12.

Given Nick's reported involvement in the death of Bobbi, who passed away in July 2015 after spending six months in a coma, fans weren't too happy about his tribute to the late icon.

The lawsuit against Nick alleged that the only daughter of Whitney and Bobby Brown died following a violent altercation with her partner, who then placed her in a bathtub and injected her with a toxic mixture of drugs.
"#daddyalwaysgotyourback," Bobby wrote after a judge found Nick responsible.
