When Nick Lachey walked into the 'Life & Style' office on Thursday, March 12, you could say we were just a taaaaad excited to talk to the guy who's been making us blush since we were 12.
And the 'Vh1 Big Morning Buzz Live' host, who's currently working on a campaign with Peanut Butter Twix, didn't disappoint...especially when we casually brought up the late '90s/early '00s era of boy bands!
Naturally, we needed to find out his thoughts on some of the questionable outfits he wore during his 98 Degrees days — like what inspired him to walk around in THESE paisley pants:

“That was a charity event for 'A Race To Erase MS' styled by Tommy Hilfiger. That’s a charity event!” Nick joked, adding, "And if Tommy Hilfiger says wear this..."
Very valid point...because who would ever turn down the chance to be styled by such a legendary fashion designer?

Let's not forget that most of the looks weren't chosen by the now father-of-two.
“Back in those days, you did so many photoshoots for every teen magazine — it was like a whirlwind of bad fashion,” he said.

Though the 41-year-old could never see himself wearing anything like that now, he did save a few of those outfits!
"I literally have a whole garment bag in my attic just full of leather pants. It's one pair after another of leather pants," he confessed.
But don't expect him to try on those bad boys again. Nick told 'Life & Style,' "I probably shouldn’t have put them on the first time around! But yeah, I still got ‘em."
