Yes, Please! Nick Viall Says He’s Down to Officiate Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon’s Wedding
Rejoice, Bachelor nation! Nick Viall revealed that he would happily officiate Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon's wedding. The 37-year-old heartthrob talked all about his pals' upcoming nuptials in a new interview, spilling details about Jared's romantic engagement to his longtime love and more.
“I’m planning the wedding. I’m going to marry them,” Nick joked while chatting with Entertainment Tonight on June 21. “I would. I’m sure there’s a line of people that…they haven’t run anything by me yet in terms of wedding planning, you’ll have to ask them.” Jared got down on one knee in Mexico while filming for the fifth season of Bachelor In Paradise and fans couldn't have been happier for the pair. Nick said that he spoke with Jared before the proposal, but didn't have to give his friend any guidance. “After three years of dating and probably being in love with her the whole time. I think he knew what he wanted to say.”
Nick also revealed why he thinks Jared took his time when it came to popping the question. “Sometimes guys are a little slow," he said while laughing. "I think uh, it’s kind of classic case of Ashley moved on and I think Jared realized how special Ashley is to him. I think the thought of not having Ashley in his life for the rest of his life was not something he was very fond of and it kind of jolted him.” Nothing like some healthy competiton, right? Luckily, Nick only had to keep the engagement secret for a few weeks until Ashley and Jared announced their big news.
The former Bachelor star also had some kind words to say about Bachelorette Becca Kufrin. “She has a great personality and seems like a very intelligent woman," Nick said. "I don’t know who she ends up with but you know, it’s a tough situation, but I think she’ll stick to her guns. She’s not afraid to speak her mind and I think that’s a great trait of hers," he added. Who knows, maybe he'll be attending two weddings in the coming year!
