Following the release of her album 'The Pinkprint,' on which Nicki Minaj raps about ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels, the record producer is speaking out about the treatment he allegedly received from the superstar.
"I walked away. I'm not going to say I broke up, but I'm the one who walked away,” Safaree explained of the couple's public split after 11 years together. “I packed up my stuff and I left.”

He added, "I just got to the point where the respect wasn't there. Everyone around her works for her, you know?...And it got to the point where I was being treated like an employee, instead of like her man."
Though the pair got into a Twitter feud over 'Pinkprint' — Nicki raps in one song about "contemplating overdosing" over his alleged lies — Safaree said he never wanted to publicly diss the 32-year-old.
"I would never do anything publicly to try to pull her down," he told Power 105.1's 'The Breakfast Club'. "Whatever happens between me and her one-on-one is what it is, that's personal. I would never put that out there."
Are you sure you didn't do it to stay relevant after the breakup? Yeah, that's what we thought.
