We've come a long way since the [Jersey Shore*](https://www.lifeandstylemag.com/tags/jersey-shore-15597)* days when Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Vinny Guadagnino had quite the steamy encounter. However, that doesn't mean Snooks is cool with her former co-star, who's now a stand-up comic, talking about it today! In an exclusive interview with Life & Style, the Snooki & JWOWW alum — who is now married to Jionni LaValle — explained why she got so upset with Vinny for discussing their fling in one of his comedy bits.

"That was kind of our little falling out. That's why I kind of stopped talking to him for a little while. Just because I get it, it was in the past, whatever — but to use me for comic relief? Like, knowing that it's not cool to talk about that anymore, you know, when I'm married — that's just not really something a friend would do, you know?" she explained. "So I kind of backed away from him after that because I didn't really think that was something a friend would do — but we talked it out and we're fine. We're over it."

Vinny joked in a teaser for tonight's MTV special Road to Vacation: Jersey Shore's Hottest Hookups that he's actually the reason Snooks and Jionni got married and had two kids — while he hilariously recounts with co-star Deena Cortese how they all first met. Find out what he had to say by watching the trailer below!

It's great to hear things are back on track for the former flames, and Vinny has also spoken out in defense of his actions. Back in April, he exclusively revealed to Life & Style that he believed this incident got him excluded from Snooki's wedding! “I think [I wasn’t invited] because we hooked up to some capacity in the past. Maybe it wouldn’t have been the best for me to [go],” he explained. "I don’t think it was [Jionni] or whatever because he was cool with me on the show and he knew about it. I think it was just because of me doing comedy and going on podcast and going up on stage. I would tell stories about hooking up with her. This is my life and I’m going to tell it. That’s what people want to know.”

Vinny then added, “I never get disrespectful. I just literally say things that people saw in a comedic way and I don’t think she was going for that and I understand that completely. I’ll take my Nicole loss for the sake of my comedic content and stuff like that.”
