L&S: Nikki you not only make music but you design clothes for some of America's most well-known celebrities, what is your secret to success?
Nikki: Well, I played a lot of music while I was growing up in Los Angeles, and some of my friends happened to be up-and-coming stars, The Kardashians for example, Kim Kardashian in particular started wearing my stuff, but loved my thermal Fleur top. I suddenly got calls to sell my tees to big stores like M Fredric, Fred Segal etc... And my client and celeb base grew from there to talent giants like Madonna, Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley etc.
L&S: When did you actually start designing?
Nikki: I started designing clothes when I was eight years old with my mom and grandmother and by the time I was 16-years-old I started my first clothing line called Eccentric Symphony. I have always been a huge fan of Madonna and Britney Spears, I LOVE them — they are my "Queens of Pop!" When they both wore my star hoodies in a video together and we're matching, I knew this could be a career.

L&S: You have come along way and you just started a new clothing line will be seen in LA Style Fashion Week? Tell me about that?
Nikki: It's a solo RTW collection that is Bohemian chic with the rock 'n' roll edge. I had spent years designing custom clothes and I wanted to share my work with the rest of the world at a price and make it wearable but also infuse that custom rock n roll edge as well.
L&S: What makes you love designing clothes?
Nikki: I love making something out of nothing, it is rewarding to make my clientele feel confident and sexy. I like the creative process and being involved in exuding a look or a feel for a video or live show with another artist such as Carrie Underwood. She has worn my designs for years but particularly loves my Babel military jacket from my spring summer 2017 collection! You can check it out on my new website www.nikkilund.com.

Nikki: I showed part of my latest collection in New York Style Fashion Week and now I get to launch my full RTW spring summer 2017 collection in LA Style Fashion Week on October 14 at 7 PM at the Pacific design center. I'm so excited to be doing this in my hometown and with my super talented friend Courtney Sixx! I have asked her to style the show!
L&S: Will we get to hear your music during your show?
Nikki: Yes! You will hear my latest single "Love Overdose" it made it to number 12 on the Billboard dance charts! All the guests at the show will take home a CD! Everybody should come out and experience my new solo collection and my music all in unison. Love Overdose.
