When Nikki Reed isn't busy starring in movies or planning her wedding to fiancé Ian Somerhalder, the actress spends her time raising awareness for autism.
The issue is near and dear to the 26-year-old's heart because her brother was diagnosed at the age of two. "He's one of the most loving, honest, sensitive and transparent kids I've ever known. And he's insanely smart. With a really remarkable memory," she told 'People' magazine.

Nikki is currently serving as spokesperson for the Lindt Gold Bunny Celebrity Auction, which benefits Autism Speaks. Individuals will bid on porcelain versions of the company's famous gold chocolate bunnies signed by the likes of Harrison Ford, Blake Lively and Blake Shelton.
"What is important is to treat everyone like an individual and learning not to generalize autism," Nikki tells 'People.' "With autism, people make assumptions but it's very broad and everyone's so different. You have to treat each person as an individual."
