Although Sergeant Joey Johnson and his wife, Michelle Johnson, married four months ago, their wedding dance is as special today as it was then. That's because Joey is a paraplegic who surprised his bride by standing during the special moment.
The pair had a special connection from the start of their relationship, sharing a last name and a birthday (June 29). But tragedy struck when Joey lost the use of his legs in a motorcycle accident (he initially began riding to relieve symptoms of PTSD).

Wanting to make their big day even more memorable, the groom and his friends created a contraption that would allow him to stand.
Michelle was obviously emotional when she saw her husband. "Everyone was crying in the room. It was so amazing to be eye to eye with him again, and such a dream come true," she told People magazine.
