Days after Paul Walker's mother, Cheryl, and his daughter Meadow's mother, Rebecca Soteros, came to an agreement over guardianship, a new report reveals what that agreement entails.
Cheryl will only back off seeking custody of Meadow if Rebecca goes to rehab. As reported, the late actor's mother claims the teen's mom has a serious drinking problem -- she has one DUI and another case pending in Hawaii.
According to the report, Rebecca's drinking is the reason why Meadow up and moved from Hawaii three years ago to live with her father in LA.
Paul Walker's Mother, Cheryl, and His Daughter Meadow's Mother Reach Agreement
When Cheryl met with Paul's ex-girlfriend, she requested the woman to go to rehab immediately, promising she'd drop her bid for guardianship if Rebecca completed the program -- and agreed to drug testing following treatment.
Apparently that was enough for Rebecca.
She reportedly started a detox program Friday, and will "enter full-time rehab in a week."
Meadow, who stands to inherit her father's multi-million dollar estate, will stay with the Walker family while her mother seeks help.
Paul asked his mom to become his teenage daughter's guardian just hours before he perished in a car accident with friend Roger Rodas on Nov. 30.
Paul Walker’s Death Caused By Speed
TMZ also claims the Fast & Furious star felt too overwhelmed with his career to properly raise the 15-year-old.
He reached out to Cheryl the same day of his death to request she retire from her job as a nurse and request full custody.
It was previously revealed Paul was planning to retire from filming to spend more time with Meadow.
"He was a family man and I know it hurt him to be spending so much time away from Meadow on location; he loved being with his daughter, she was his world," his close friend Ronn Shikari told MailOnline.
"That's why he wanted to retire from acting and talked to his family about it, as he'd achieved everything he wanted to achieve."
