Days after it was confirmed that Paul Walker tragically died in a car accident, Bing has released its list of most-searched movies of 2013.
Sitting near the top? The late actor’s Fast & Furious 6, which landed in the No. 2 spot following Robert Downey, Jr.’s Iron Man 3. Despicable Me 2 rounds out the list.
Remembering Paul Walker: His Best Interviews and Clips
It comes as no surprise that the sixth installment of the successful franchise is one of the year’s most talked about films. The movie, which was released on May 24, made a worldwide total of $788.7 million. It’s the third highest-grossing 2013 flick and 43rd of all time.
On Nov. 30, it was confirmed that Paul, who starred as undercover cop turned street racer/fugitive Brian O’Connor in the franchise, died in a car accident. He was at a charity car show raising money for victims of Typoon Haiyan through his organization, Reach Out Worldwide, and decided to take a spin with his friend Roger Rodas, a retired racecar driver, in Roger’s Porsche. Roger lost control of the vehicle and the pair crashed.
Paul Walker’s Friend Identified as Roger Rodas
"Paul was so overwhelmed by the amount of support people showed that day. We were the last ones to see him alive," one of Roger’s close friends, Jim Torp, tells Life & Style. "I still don't believe it happened. Being at the scene and seeing all the people that love Paul...there are so many lives he touched."
Paul loved racecar driving and learned to do many of his own stunts for the Fast & Furious movies. Filming for a seventh installment began before his death. There’s no word yet on what will happen to the movie and whether his scenes will remain in it. According to reports, Paul’s key scenes were just days away from being filmed.
Paul Walker's Daughter, Meadow, Hysterical at News of Father's Death
“I live by ‘Go big or go home.’ That’s with everything. It’s like either commit and go for it or don’t do it at all,” he’s said. “I apply that to everything. I apply that to relationships. I apply that to sports. I apply that to everything. That’s what I live by. That’s how I like it.”
Paul leaves behind a 15-year-old daughter, Meadow.
